Message from Owner

Leo just turned 8 this April and he has never been outside before. He took off last night and we haven’t been able to find him. I’ve been walking for hours in the rain calling for him and I don’t know where he could’ve gone. He is probably terrified if he’s somewhere stuck in this storm. Please help get my baby back, he’s my first cat and I’ve raised him since he was four weeks old. He is microchipped and neutered and sweet as can be. Please help I don’t know what else to do.

He’s likely not to have gone very far. But in my experience, if he’s scared enough, he still won’t come out for you. I would suggest a human trap. can borrow one from one of the rescues or CAA.; Putting something outside that smells like your home such as a blanket or His litter box; Also, if you have cameras, you could check and see if he’s coming around late night or just get up in the middle of the night and go see if he’s trying to get in. Cats run out they usually don’t go very far, so don’t give up! Will he go to other people? If so, I would put up signs around the complex and at vet offices close by in case someone finds him and brings him to the vet to see if he has a chip. Most of them have bulletin boards.
