Elaine A. Scott - there is a street called Bogart dr in Bakersfield so I’m guessing whoever created this PawBoost alert may have accidentally entered in an incorrect zip code and why it mentions Tustin. This is clearly my assumption here.
Just praying their dog is found as he’s truly one handsome fur baby. 🙏🏼🐾🐶
Please, I am urging you to post flyers hundreds of flyers everywhere around where your dog was lost. The best tape to hold them up is duct tape other tapes are flimsy the flyers fall off. Put them all over for miles as dogs can wander quite a ways away. Not everyone is on Facebook so you must post on all of pet sites and nextdoor.com your neighborhood watch. Keep posting every day. Drive around in your car look for your dog. Get everybody you know to look for your dog. I pray you find him as soon as possible. Please contact your shelter and let them know you lost your dog in case someone drops it off there. Keep checking with the shelter often. People will drop dogs off there. Also check every day Pawboost to see if someone has found your dog and posted it lost.Read More
🚨 LOST DOG – WHAT TO DO IMMEDIATELY TO HELP BRING YOUR DOG HOME 🚨
If your dog is missing, follow these critical steps right away:
🏠 Bring Them Home with Scent and Access
• Hang dirty laundry (T-shirts, socks, shoes) high on a fence or branch to allow the wind to carry the scent - use items worn by the person your dog is most bonded with.
• Dogs can smell home from miles away - your scent can guide them back.
• Leave an access point open such as a cracked garage or front door in case they return.
• Sleep near the front door if possible - your presence may help them feel safe enough to come back.
• If you have other pets, keep them secured in a separate room.
📣 Post Signs & Notify Everyone
• Make signs with a clear photo and your contact info.
• Put signs everywhere - on poles, street corners, and especially on doorsteps in the neighborhood.
• Ask neighbors to check security cameras (e.g., Ring) for sightings.
🌐 Spread the Word Online
• Post on local:
• Lost & Found Facebook groups
• Nextdoor
• PawBoost
• Ring Neighbors app
• Include your contact info, dog’s name, and location last seen.
🐶 Microchip & Shelter Alerts
• If your dog is microchipped, notify the chip company immediately and mark your pet as lost.
• Call ALL nearby animal shelters and rescues, and leave a detailed voicemail if no one answers. Follow up daily.
⚠️ Beware of Scams
• Do NOT send money or provide any verification codes.
• Scammers often pretend to have your pet and demand payment.
• A real finder will be happy to help and won’t ask for money.Read More
