Put smelly food like chicken and hot dogs, his kennel, blankets and your worn clothing outside your house and at sighting locations for him. Make a scent trail of liquid smoke from the food outward in each direction.
Call the police and animal control to report him missing.
If he has a doggy friend/sibling that he is bonded with, take that dog out to search as well. Sometimes dogs will come to other dogs.
Check the area well, including window wells, under decks, porches, bushes and places where he can get in but may not be able to get out.
