Message from Owner

He doesn’t like it outside but we have not seen him since 6 pm last night. Has a black collar but it is breakaway so it could have popped off if something pulled on it.

If you are not certain he got outside check every inch of your house. My cat got into the little doors above the refrigerator one time and my dad happened to see her do it or I would have never found her. She also got behind a drawer in the kitchen one time.

Search at night with a flashlight (eyes will glow) up in trees and inside and under things on your property and up to three or four houses away. Cats normally stay pretty close to home. You can put something with the smell of the cat, or the scent of home, out on the porch. Put up missing cat posters, check with your neighbors, post on all local social media groups, and check with animal control every week. Leave your garage door up enough to allow the cat entry. You can also try searching early morning, before dawn, calling his/her name and carrying and open can of tuna or cat food. Hunger sometimes lures them out of hiding. Don't forget to check places like crawl spaces, garages, and sheds.
