So sorry to hear that your cat is missing, here are some things that might help in your search. Put out things that smell familiar, like their toys, bed, definitely their favorite food and water. And things that smell like you such as a shirt or blanket. Double check every place in your house, crawlspaces, sheds, and garages, and in the bushes around your house. Ask neighbors to do the same. Cats will hide in the darndest places. And call his name while you're walking around outside looking for him, or even inside in case he's trapped in a closet. The sound of your voice will help. Get flyers up in the area and make sure your neighbors are all aware to be on the lookout. Post on PawBoost and all the Lost Pet sites for where you live, and those will get shared. Constantly check with all of the animal shelters and they're posting a lot their intakes on Facebook. Also check with vets in the area. You can set out a humane trap and see if you can catch your kitty that way. If your cat is micro chipped, which I hope it is, check with the microchip company in case somebody finds your cat . If you have Ring or other security cameras outside, check those, and ask neighbors if they can check theirs as well. And if you've heard about coyotes in the area, please don't continue to let them outside. Please bring them inside and keep them inside to keep them safe going forward.

If you have a neighborhood Facebook page, be sure to post pictures, etc., and ask neighbors to check basements, crawlspaces, and garages, too.

Zac Ozyilmaz Did you get their phone number? If so, make a report to the police. This is a particularly cruel fraud and preys on distraught people. 😡

Ali Reardon Yes, we have that and a camera set up that will alert me immediately if an animal shows up. We're just worried a bit about the storm later tonight

We got the first scam call a little bit ago. Folks pretending to be Atlanta Humane Society and that someone brought Charlie in after getting hit by a car and he is in emergency surgery. Be careful out there folks! The only place nearby that does afterhours emergency for pets is BluePearl in Westside (Or Sandy Springs) and they will take payment in person, never by phone! Such horrible people! Remember to have the caller give you the microchip ID rather than you provide it. Remember if they ask for payment via Venmo, cashapp, zelle, paypal, etc that it is 99% a scam. If they are saying it is an emergency and they won't start work until paid, it is a scam! The horrible people said they will be euthanizing and will send a picture.
