Try opening a window and then have a couple family members sit near it and have a normal conversation. Go out after dark and call the cat's name SOFTLY.

My cat has gotten out a few times over the last 20 years. Here are a few of the scenarios and how I got him back. one time he was stuck in a raccoon trap the neighbor's yard several houses down And my husband found him. One time he got out and was gone for 10 days before I found him around the block at night underneath a car with a flashlight, I saw his eyes. One time I found him in one of my neighbor's garages a few houses down late at night using the same flashlight technique, he was just laying in the boat that was in the back of their garage. One time he got out and was gone for a few days, I always put flyers and s locked inside a lady's garage that she hadn't been inside for a few days. Looking at night is helpful. Last year when he got out was the first time in a long time and he's old so I worried a lot, I set my alarm and got up every hour on the hour to go outside and walk around calling for him and finally he ran up at about 4:30 a.m. looking often at night is key. They usually stay close . Shake food or treats bags outside or open tins of food. My brother's cat got stuck in a tree about 40 ft up for several days. He's probably nearby and possibly stuck somewhere he cannot get out. If there's a neighborhood Facebook page posts there and put signs up around the neighborhood as well as delivering them personally to people's houses and if there are any stores nearby. Also post on for the love of Louie Facebook page and the next door app. If you have a local humane society, poundcor any place in street animal can be taken go and physically check those places as well. Put stuff that smells like your house and like your cat outside. Good luck ☺️

Post on Nextdoor and Ring apps. Ask neighbors to check car hoods, garages and sheds immediately. Make sure to tap hoods of the car around. Keep an entryway open for cat to get in. Buy or loan a live cat trap from online stores or local tnr groups. Leave your garage open with cat to enter. Put some food and your clothing there for smell. Get a motion sensor camera to detect when cat is around your property

I bought my cat a AirTag, a nice leather collar and a name tag with phone number. I bought these three items from Amazon for around $40. Now I know where my cat is all the time you hook it up to your cell phone. It takes the worry out of wondering, when your cats gonna sneak outside next prayers.

Aww post some ads up around the area rewards always helps go out walking the neighborhood, knocking on doors ask your local neighbors to check their garages sheds under decks under vehicles behind bushes and Barnes go out walking the neighborhood several times during the day and several times very late at night with a flashlight, shaking a treat bag calling for your cat sometimes I get scared they hide they are usually found within 7 to 10 houses for a home. They usually come home between the hours of 12 AM and 7 AM when it’s very quiet outside, keep your eyes and ears open prayers keep a window or a garage door open. Sometimes they come back home and try to get back into the house. Prayers post some ads on local lost and found pet sites. You can Google these in your area such as neighbors next door and. Michigan - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets - PawBoost There should be two or three more you can Google in your area check with local by attorney areas check with local animal animal shelter, and Humane Society. Let them know you lost your cat just in case somebody finds it. You can also try putting your cats bad blanket toys, and some of the dirty clothing from inside the house. Do not wash these items such as T-shirt, sweaters, blankets sheets put these items out on your porch. keep your eyes open animals have a great sense of smell change outside items every couple of days this works great for cats and dogs. This work for me and my cats several times over the years and about five months ago of my cat got out of the house. I put his bed out of my front porch about midnight. I turned the porch light on looking for him, he was laying in his bed on my porch. This works great prayers get out there walking in the neighborhood, knocking on doors prayers.

The best time to look for a cat is late at night after the daytime sounds settle down. Go for a walk and take a flashlite scan into the trees and under bushes. A cat can fit in any hole that they can fit their head thru they have collapsible shoulder blades. Most indoor cats stay close to home but come out at night. Most important is to make your presence known. Go out every half hour after 9pm and call for them and stop and listen it's amazing what you can hear late at night. Get your voice and scent out there. They are looking for you also. Look for glowing eyes at night. If there is a dog sibling that the cat likes take the dog on the walk. If you open canned cat food or shake treats do so on your walk. If the cat has a noisy toy shake it on your walk. Make posters and put in every business within a mile of the home. Let your mail carrier know. If there are teenagers in the neighborhood let them know they love reward money and being a hero. Check all local shelters. Let local veterinarians know your info. If there is a feral colony near you check it out. If you can find the feeder of the colony give them your info. Make large signs and put in neighbors yards at least a mile radius of the home. This ensures that everyone in the area has the info. Put post it notes on your neighbors doors to look in sheds and garages. Post on every Facebook forum in your area. Post on Pawboost and For the love of Louie. Check Humane Society. So important to make your presence known every half hour after 9pm. Make a bed out of the cats carrier and put soiled clothes from inside the home around the bed. Put it as close to the house as you can. Leave a shed or garage open check them often. Camp in your yard. Most indoor cats are found late at night. Don't give up. Do not put food out or litter it attracts every animal in the area including raccoon opossum feral cats and coyotes. Your cat will know that there is food inside and that is incentive to keep them close to the house. If you are outside that's OK but take it in when you go back in. If your cat sees a predator eating their food it might make them retreat further. Most important is to let them know you are looking for them. Hope you find your baby
