All black, 1 year old. Last seen wearing moon and stars collar with bell. Very shy at first, but quickly very friendly and quirky personality. He chirps when he warms up to you and is cuddly.

Hi I’m posting for my roommate who lost her new kitty last week in West Asheville. He is not an outdoor cat, and was new to the area so he is probably disoriented and scared. His name is Trooper and he was recently rehoused after his first family gave him up. He was having a hard time finding a new before my roommate took him in, which is hard to believe since he is so lovable and quirky. He literally is the cat from the movie Flow both in looks and personality. My heart is broken thinking about how freaked out he must be out there.

If you haven't found her yet, Lost Cat Finder has a some great tips on FB plus her website is www.lostcatfinder.com. Unless he's trying to find his way to a former home, he's probably hiding in survival mode and won't make any sounds and risk being seen. I hope you find him! 💕🤞🙏

Gressa Cedergren thank you for having him neutered and microchipped ❤️ Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that he's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up (having his picture in their hands will help keep him at the forefront of their minds). Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Walk the neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. He's probably hunkered down and hiding nearby, but he may not answer you when you call - that's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators. Put his beds/ blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. Good luck ❤️
