Wendy Pierce Bragg I really like this idea and have been trying to research to see if I can find someone who has a dog that tracks lost dogs. There is a lot of wildlife including deer on the island and some tracking dogs like to chase other wildlife. If anyone has a recommendation for a person with a dog that tracks dogs please let me know! Thank you!

Diane Hudson Thank you! Pete is an amazing fur family member! We have had Pete since he was a puppy. He escaped while we were away on vacation and slipped away from the pet sitter. We are interested in setting up a trap but need to know where he is consistently moving as there is a lot of wildlife that the cage may catch if he isn’t in the area of the trap. Thank you for your help!

Update 8/28/21: We continue to look for Pete as we have hope we will find him even though it has been 6 weeks. Thank you to everyone who has messaged us with encouragement since you experienced your pet missing for 8 weeks and longer. Your stories give us strength and hope! Lately we have been focused on less populated areas of Skidaway Island (north end and woods) since there has not been a recent sighting. The State Park and the Marine Science Center have new Pete flyers and continue to distribute them to guests on our behalf. Likewise, we are advertising full page color ads (TWATL) this week for those not on social media. We still believe Pete is on the island but do not discount that he might have caught a ride. Therefore we remain in contact with Chatham County and all surrounding county shelters. We noticed the signs at the village and Landings gates disappeared overnight but it wasn’t us…the search continues! We appreciate everyone’s help in keeping an eye out and your great ideas! Thank you!
