We think he got in a fight with a feral cat, and chased him somewhere. Hoping it was not a coyite that got him. If he is alive he is chipped and can be.really.sweet once he warms up to you. It takes him a while to warm up to people. He goes by Beany or Jelly Bean, or Jellies.
