Message from Finder

I saw a man with a poodle mix that seemed in distress he put the dog down it wouldn’t walk. I offered the ma assistance w/ water, food and to examine the dog. I have a medical background. He seemed evasive, the dog had no collar, and then assaulted me when I was trying to encourage the man to let me help the dog. If anyone recognises his dog this all happened around 3:45 pm on Venice Boulevard. I’ll include the license plate number of the car he got into when I told him I called the police for the assault.

London Bluu .. wow I’m sorry dog looks sick for sure.. obviously the guy is unstable or mentally ill or something… Glad you got his info… I’m not so sure what can come of it as I don’t think the police will get to involved… Unfortunately, the poor dog will suffer… Too bad he wouldn’t give him to you.. darn.. i’ve been involved in Rescue a long time… Can you send this info to Cathi Perez? Or Faith Easdale. both work heavily in the trenches and may be able to help this dog by the information you can supply them… Thank you for taking the time to care and please try and get a hold of them. They may have some answers for you.

London Bluu the dog would be better off in the shelter than with an abuser, who most likely found and or stole this dog that needs help.

Tiff Hines I did but the police officer stated there’s nothing they can do about it. They can only follow up on the assault. I submitted the photos and video to the detectives and I’m only hoping that they’ll find this person and maybe help this dog. I’m very hesitant in calling animal control. I do not want to see this dog be put into a shelter and be in danger having his life ended.

Meryl Lagotta I do not have him. The man did not allow me to properly check him out. I just noted severe dehydration, long but pristinely clean nails, his teeth need a cleaning. Heavy panting. The man allowed me to check him very quickly and his ears seem to be clean. He wouldn’t allow me to stand him up, check his abdomen, that sort of thing. All I’m asking is if anyone recognises this dog to follow up with the license plate I provided.
