I agree it should be longer than 72 hours. They should go into foster care for 10 days minimum to give people a chance to reclaim their pit. What if the people are away? That's what happened in West VAN and as far as I know, they've never gotten their cat back and they are heartbroken. And SPCA will not help even to reach out to the people that adopted their cat, while they were away, and Family was supposed to be looking after it, and so the original family has lost a family member due to your 72 hours whether people are out of town or not. It seems cruel and unusual punishment to both the Pet and the original family. Shame on SPCA, you're supposed to be working in the best interest of the animals and the best interest of those animals to return them to their original family.

I’m sorry but 72 hours doesn’t sound long enough for owner to find their pet especially seniors who aren’t on media 😢
