Message from Owner

Tyrone is a very sweet and friendly cat, but he's also an indoor cat so he might be scared and skittish. We've been worried sick all weekend, anything you can do to get our boy would be greatly appreciated.

The best time to look for a cat is late at night after the daytime sounds settle down. Go for a walk and take a flashlite scan into the trees and under bushes. A cat can fit in any hole that they can fit their head thru they have collapsible shoulder blades. Most indoor cats stay close to home but come out at night. Most important is to make your presence known. Go out every half hour after 9pm and call for them and stop and listen it's amazing what you can hear late at night. Get your voice and scent out there. They are looking for you also. Look for glowing eyes at night. If there is a dog sibling that the cat likes take the dog on the walk. If you open canned cat food or shake treats do so on your walk. If the cat has a noisy toy shake it on your walk. Make posters and put in every business within a mile of the home. Let your mail carrier know. If there are teenagers in the neighborhood let them know they love reward money and being a hero. Check all local shelters. Let local veterinarians know your info. If there is a feral colony near you check it out. If you can find the feeder of the colony give them your info. Make large signs and put in neighbors yards at least a mile radius of the home. This ensures that everyone in the area has the info. Put post it notes on your neighbors doors to look in sheds and garages. Post on every Facebook forum in your area. Post on Pawboost and For the love of Louie. Check Humane Society. So important to make your presence known every half hour after 9pm. Make a bed out of the cats carrier and put soiled clothes from inside the home around the bed. Put it as close to the house as you can. Leave a shed or garage open check them often. Camp in your yard. Most indoor cats are found late at night. Don't give up. Do not put food out or litter it attracts every animal in the area including raccoon opossum feral cats and coyotes. Your cat will know that there is food inside and that is incentive to keep them close to the house. If you are outside that's OK but take it in when you go back in. If your cat sees a predator eating their food it might make them retreat further. Most important is to let them know you are looking for them. Hope you find your baby

Check extremely good around your house and neighbors, shrubs, bushes, high grass, paper bags and trees, underneath porches and decks, outbuilding and garages, evening time when it’s quiet too, check all shelters in your county and animal control also.

if he’s an indoor cat, he will not go far go outside with a flashlight and call his name. You will be able to see his eyes look under everything. Check with your neighbor. See if he’s in a shed a garage. Please keep us posted. ļæ¼

For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers*Poor baby, what a cutie post some ads up around the area rewards always helps go out walking the neighborhood, knocking on doors ask your local neighbors to check their garages sheds under decks under vehicles behind bushes go out walking day and night looking and knocking on doors spring fever. My cat likes to sneak out once or twice every summer I ended up putting a AirTag on a cat and a name tag with phone number with a great leather collar just in case he sneaks out check with local veterinarians check with local animal, animal shelter, and Humane Society. You must file a lost report with them just in case somebody finds your baby prayers. You should go to the shelter. There’s two of them actually, three Kent County animal, shelter and Humane Society and there’s one out on Wilson in Jenison Michigan post some ads on neighbors next-door and craigslist and for the love of Louie and paws Boost and Kent county ļæ¼ lost and found pet sites and Grand Rapids lost and found pets. You can also try putting your cats bed, blanket, toys, and some of your dirty clothes from inside the house. Do not wash these items such as T-shirt, sweaters, blankets sheets put these items out on your porch. Keep your eyes open animals have a great sense of smell change outside items every couple of days this works great for cats and dogs. This work for me and my cats several times over the years in about five months ago my cat snuck out of the house. I put his bed out on the porch about midnight. I turned the porch light on and found him laying in his bed on my front porch this works great prayers beautiful tuxedo kitty cat that’s what they call them with the black and white the way he’s got it or is she prayers? They usually are found within seven at 10 houses from home so I will get out there looking for your baby ASAP prayers they usually come home between the hours of 12 AM and 7 AM when it’s very quiet outside keep your eyes and ears open. If you can keep a garage door or a window open they’d like to come back later at night early in the morning usually when you are sleeping so you need to keep your eyes open prayers

šŸ”» šŸ”» Can you or Have you set a Humane live trap? MUST BE MONITORED CLOSELY Cover the trap to block wind, rain, snow, sun. An old throw rug or towel with the scent of home is helpful. Large paper leaf bags work as well, trap fits in nicely 🐾 Alert all neighbors and ask to check sheds, garages, under decks, bushes, even old dog houses. If possible place pets bed in garage with food and something that smells like home. Leave garage door up just enough to allow entry for kitty. 🐾 Sharing šŸ”“ PLEASE USE CAUTION DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER, TRAP SHOULD BE MONITORED EVERY 30 MINUTES for the well being of the animal ā˜ŗļø PLEASE TAKE NOTE, trap should be checked at least every few hours. IN INCLEMENT WEATHER EXTREME CAUTION IS NEEDED FOR THE SAFETY OF THE ANIMAL🐾
