I'm fostering Penelope. Her life has been tough, and for the last few months she's enjoyed having a home and people who love her and take care of her. Late Monday night she let me know she needed to go outside. What I didn't know was that a deer had kicked a hole in my fence and must've still been near there because Penelope started barking and took off. By the time my dog and I got to the far end of the yard she was gone. I've walked hours with and without my dog looking for her, and the people from the rescue have been canvassing, putting up fliers, etc. Sadly not a single person has reported seeing her.
