Looking for the neighbor who adopted my uniquely loving tabby "Peppercorn" from the OHS (December 2025) Hi everyone,I am reaching out to the south end Ottawa community (Somero Private, Findlay Creek, Riverside South) with a heavy heart. My 2-year-old female domestic shorthair tabby cat, Peppercorn, went missing in December 2025, and I recently learned she was adopted out to a new home from the Ottawa Humane Society later that month.Because of privacy laws, the shelter cannot give me the adopter's information, so I am hoping this reaches them or someone who knows them.Peppercorn has a highly unique, irreplaceable personality that her new family would definitely recognize by now:The Soft Head-Butt: She is incredibly gentle and loving, and her main way of showing affection is softly head-butting you.The Shadow: She never leaves your side and always wants to be right on your lap or laying flt on top of you.The Pant-Leg Hitchhiker: She has a hilarious, specific habit where she will literally hook her claws into the top of your pants right by your waist/belly button and refuse to let go, just hanging on while you walk around the hse supporting her from the bottom.If you adopted this sweet, unique girl, or if you know a neighbor who recently got a tabby with these exact traits, please reach out to me.
