Oh No! We were lucky! He made it home. Nonetheless, times have changed. I grew up with my dog sleeping in the middle of the street, sun bathing on the asphalt, visiting his friends in the neighborhood. (Oakland,Ca) I remember a dozen dogs are so would show up in front the house around 2-3am…my dogs would escape the yard, and they’d all go to the park and creek, and would be back before sunrise. When my lab, lady got to big to sneek out, I’d go and let her out, because they’d wake me up, trying to get out. It’s crazy to me to grab a dog off the street. If I’m working in the garage, he’ll run over to the park, across the street if I take my eyes off of him... …neighbors within line of sight know who he is, he may hassle people walking their dogs for a sniff or two, but he’s always come home.
