We did same he just kept flying, by night we was not sure where he flew too. Your a very lucky

My conure was scared by a flock of pigeons as they took off from feeding on the ground, and took off also. It was around 5pm and it soon got dark. I kept calling out to her and she kept answering. Once it got dark, she was quite, but I still called out to her every hour, to let her know I was there. I stayed in my car all night and in the morning, got out, turned my back, arms outstretched and she flew down to me. Sometimes you have to really want your bird back.
