Put out something that she's familiar with that carries her scent (a bed, a blanket but NOT a litterbox), call for her in the quiet, still hours (12am-7am) THIS IS SO IMPORTANT, put out food in intervals (not at night) when you can keep an eye out. Lost pet cats go into survival mode super fast, you may need a humane trap if she doesn't turn up right away. Talk to your neighbors (most don't go far and find an open garage or shed to huddle down) and put signs in your local pet store (if someone takes her in they will need litter and food). I hope you find her 🍀

A few things you can try are: cats are active at night and early morning, walk around the outside of your house/building and whisper their name, do not shout it, the less yelling and excitement the better and then listen for a meow. They usually don't stray very far from home. Put his food/water, catnip, and clothing you wore earlier in the day in front or in back of your house, they say cats can smell up to a mile. Do not leave the food out overnight as it may attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood, shake the treat jar and talk to people as you walk and talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals and if they see a strange Kitty around they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc. Cats can disappear for days, weeks, months or longer and return so don't give up!

Sorry to hear about your kitty being lost. Put his/her litter box outside. Once s/he decides to come out of hiding, s/he will follow a familiar scent to its source. Check around the box often, especially at dusk and dawn. Also look up all tall trees in your neighborhood, since most cats have a habit of climbing trees when chased, and then being too afraid to climb back down. Treetop Cat Rescue can bring cats down safely; they can be found on Facebook. Hope Stella comes home soon!
