Message from Finder

My husband found this little guy in the apmt complex called Canyon Vista, we are unsure if he has a chip but we will take him to shelter so they can check for us. In the meantime, we are hoping to see if anyone has heard/seen of any posts looking for him.

Phoenix Lopez Harman same here. I’ve rescued many dogs over the years wandering on streets in desert heat and got them groomed and adopted. Just a few months ago I was at morongo gas station and saw this cattle dog by the frwy. He came to me and got in my car. I ask security guy sitting in parking lot if anyone was looking for lost dog. He said nope the dogs been wandering around here for two days!! I took him to no rescue in thousand palms. Yrs ago there was a dog out in the wash by DHS for days, he kept running away so I called Eldad with Hope For Paws in LA area and he came out and rescued him. Eldad is awesome! He and his team save thousands of animals each yr. BTW, my maiden name is Lopez 🤩 Keep well and thank God for those like you that care about animals 🐶😍

Debi Roemmich I rescued a dog that was dumped on a 114° degree day on August 8, 2020. She was found near some houses off Vista Chino at Escena. Thank God the women who found her were home, as many people here leave for the summer. I think she was dumped with two other dogs that were found bitten on the necks by coyotes; a small white Chihuahua who later after a man, a Good Samaritan rushed her to the ER in Indio after spending $2,000 to try and save her life, but her wounds were fatal, and a larger dog that I don’t know if it survived or not. There are so many dumped pets here, it makes me feel like I live in a border town in Mexico.

Phoenix Lopez Harman I agree! It’s sad and frustrating seeing so many lost pets each day. I’ve had dogs and cats for many years and never lost any. It’s sad knowing they’re trying to survive in this triple digit heat! Thankful this little guy was found. Hopefully owners see this. If mine got lost (not sure how) I’d be looking day/night until found.
