To whoever has my sweet girl, please find it in your heart to bring her home. She is not just a dog. She has been part of our family for 10 years. She was my senior year graduation present, and we have loved her and cared for her every single day since. There is a family here who knows every little thing about her, who loves her more than you could possibly know, and who is absolutely heartbroken without her. She is 10 years old and has needs that are important to know. She is fixed and has a bad back from having her tail clipped off. Because of her teeth, she doesn’t eat regular adult dog food. She is also absolutely terrified of rain and thunderstorms and takes anxiety because of how severe her fear can get. Please do not leave her locked in a kennel when she’s scared—she will panic and can tear up her face trying to get out. She loves being outside, but she doesn’t like being out there alone. She loves being around people. She sleeps with a stuffed animal. She LOVES human food, especially eggs, weenies, and bacon. That’s our little weekend ritual with her. Her best friend is our cat, and he misses her too. Our home feels completely wrong without her here. She’s a pain in the ass sometimes, but she’s our pain in the ass. We know her quirks, her fears, what she likes, what she needs, and how to take care of her. We have had ten years to learn every part of who she is. If you found her or someone gave her to you, please contact us. You will not be met with anger—we just want our girl back home where she belongs. And if someone has her and is considering keeping her without contacting us, please understand that you aren’t keeping a dog that nobody wants. You’re keeping a deeply loved member of a family that is desperately looking for her. We’re already going through a difficult time as a family, and losing her on top of everything else has been devastating. Please, please bring our sweet girl home.
