Message from Owner

Paco was my grandmother‘s bird and when my mom past last year, I inherited him. I have been trying to give him a wonderful enriching life, and when I was on the patio with him, he got spooked and flew away. Please help me get Paco back.

Here's an example of the map. Turn off all the other filters so all you see is lost found pet posts. It makes it way easier.

Have you posted on next door as well as neighbors by ring since it covers approximately an 8 mile radius around your location? Also when you're on the main screen click on the top right and go to the map zoom in closer to your intersection and check all the other lost found pet posts. I've had really good luck with finding other posts about the same pet this way. Birds don't usually go very far from the house.

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AY9H3RUnB/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
