Message from Finder

Found this sweet pea near Pavilion Place apmts in the Gulfton area. She has sun damage/burn on her forehead and back so I’m assuming she’s been missing for at least several days. Luckily a neighbor alerted us to a hairless cat roaming around thinking it was our own! She’s not afraid of humans but is very skeptical and reactive to our cat. There’s a lot of stray cats around here so I’m sure she’s real spooked. She’s safe at my apmt taking residence in the guest bedroom until I’m done with my work week on Thursday— I will then be trying to find a rescue for her in the area since all shelters are full. I’ve looked up every buzzword imaginable looking for someone looking for her so this is my last hope. If anyone has seen her posted by a breeder even I'd greatly appreciate the information!!!

Rusty Jones I don’t think she’s chipped. I don’t see one, migrated or otherwise, and they’re hard to miss on hairless cats. I work 7am-7pm and every resource was unavailable/limited by the time I got home 😭 I will be taking her in to get looked at for the sun burn on Thursday and will have them scan her then! AAR is full :/ overall I’d really prefer she goes to a specialized rescue or to her owner, we’ve had hairless cats for years so I plan to keep her here until we can find the right place for her sake. I’m new to Houston and the capacity of shelters and the amount of strays in our area makes me weary of dropping her off just anywhere

Zoe Morin- Has she already been checked for a microchip? Have you checked with HSPCA or maybe Abandoned Animal Rescue (AAR) to see if they might be able to take her in?
