Sure hope you find your pet. Not having been there long enough might be a problem.🙏

can't leave the door jar because there's too much wildlife in the area. there's bear and cougars and he goes and other cats and dogs and I have another cat indoors that I can't let get out... this is in the Merville area... I desperately need her home. I had to go to work today which is the worst feeling knowing that I'm not looking for her

Many indoor cats return when it's quiet and dark usually between 9:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. so if it is possible, leave the door/window (or garage) open slightly for her to return. If you have any other pets secure them in a room for the night. This works well for these indoor cats that get out. Put out some worn clothing with your scent and keep calling for him frequently as she should hear your voice. Check your yard and ask your neighbor if you can check their yards/patios/bushes thoroughly with a good flashlight. Put up lots of posters with a large colored picture of her around your area. You can also purchase a humane trap at Rona, Canadian tire or on Marketplace. This method works well for these shy indoor cats that get out. Line the bottom of the trap with newspaper and cover the sides and top with a sheet...don't cover the back. You would have to Google how to set it up properly to trap a cat for best results.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes, garages, under cars and hood or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

Leave your door ajar after securing other pets if posssible. They often come late at night trying to get back inside.

Likely hiding close by or up a tree within 5 or 6 houses away. Ask neighbours to check sheds, garages and under decks and bushes. Go out with flashlight when quiet and dark. Get posters up asap using zip lock bags. Leave soiled article of your clothing outside to draw home. Leave door open a few inches and kitty may walk inside typically between 2 and 4 am. Motion lights and security cameras are really helpful. Make sure your microchip information is up to date or it will be useless. Good luck!
