Deceased Cat Found, Lenoir Street and Ervin Road, Morganton If this cat belonged to you, or if you have been feeding or caring for him, I am sorry to report that he past this morning, October 19, 2026. I called this handsome tuxedo cat Star. I began feeding Star in April 2026, when he first appeared at my home, starving. Over time, his visits became less frequent, although he continued to come by regularly. I suspected he had found another home or someone else who was feeding him. He would not let me near him. Mid-morning today, a neighbor alerted me that one of the semi feral cats I feed was lying in the road. I went immediately and found Star. His body was still warm. I took him to Morganton Animal Clinic, where the veterinarian immediately examined him and confirmed that he had past. I arranged and paid for his cremation. I am sharing this in case someone else knew and cared for Star and is wondering what happened to him. Rest in peace, sweet baby boy. I will miss your beautiful face. You mattered, and you were loved.
