Jen Shipek thank you!! I have little flyers up on most of the wooden street poles. I went door to door and handed off flyers to all of the homes in the radius our big cat walks (thinking he followed him) im down to do big posters too. I have my number on some of the posts i've made and on the flyers. I got a good tip on a home he may be in. They have a cat window, and every time ive knocked no answer, so maybe they work graveyard or something? They live 2 houses down from me. I left flyers on all of the cars today and another on under the cat bowl.

Anissa Kae im only telling you not to use the litter box because that's what the professionals are saying now. The litter box isn't the only scent a cat can smell and if you use dirty clothes it's jsut as good. Your cat was allowed outside so the litter box thing was actually for indoor cats back in the day. I wouldn't risk it if it was my cat that was out there. Its been scientifically proven for decades that predators find their food by smelling their foods urine to find them. Cats bury their business for a reason. And tom cats go off the urine scent too do you want tom cats showing up and bullying your cat or chasing him away from home? Look it up. I still stand by my advice not to use the litter box. I dont see any signs up around there? I suggest making a few big neon signs to put up on at least fir and brown and fir and sequim ave. Dollar tree has big colored sheets of paper that work perfectly for making signs. I'd be willing to help make them i have made many. Have you talked to the owner of the property thats across fir st from govan? Your cat could be hiding out somewhere out there even. If I can help look for him I would like to.

Jen Shipek I got my cat back after almost a month by using the litter without any problems and probably would not have had I not finally after weeks of searching used litter at the four corners of my property. So I did not get any unwanted pest but I got my cat back.

Jana Miller i spoke with PFOA yesterday and put one of our flyers in our mail box with the flag up and a note to our mail delivery driver. Grrat tip from PFOA. We expanded our radius and so far no sightings. We are still trying!

Jen Shipek excellent tips. Thank you for sharing. We have been doing these things, and having dinner on the patio where we have our regular chatter/conversation. Nothing. Im convinced he is in someone's home, thinking they have found a stray (because no collar). Weve gone door to door with flyers. I guess we just have to keep trying, expand our region. He has to be somewhere.

No litter box it attracts animals you don't want around. Put some dirty laundry outside your door and leave door ajar. Leaving door ajar is tip that helps indoor cats get back inside the most cuz it gives them immediate access back inside instead of being turned away by a shut door. They usually dont go far so when it quiets down at night take a flashlight and check nearby bushes/ shrubs cats love hiding in them and under porc h es or stairs and under vehicles or in boats. Don't yell their name this can actually scare them in this situation. Calmly call them now and then and just listen. Putting small amount of food inside the open door is OK but no food outside. You want to have them hungry so if you get a live trap which I recommend getting ASAP they will be hungry and more likely to go into the trap. Tell neighbors and leave your number for if they see your cat. Also looking at night with a flashlight is good to do and check up trees.
