Check the surrounding shelters every day, not just the one in your city. Someone may have picked the dog up and not live near you, then dropped the dog at a shelter near them. It’s easy to do, go on their websites and scan the pictures. Also, go in person sometimes they hold dogs in the back that are not in the pictures. And also put posters up, because not everyone is on social media.

So male or female?! You say “she” and “he”! How stupid of you to lose your dog during July 4 festivities!! Not to mention coyotes, hawks, owls, hot weather and traffic!! Add the cross streets! Report to shelters, check in person daily, chip company - is he/she microchipped I hope?! Collar with ID tags on?! Check cameras, homeless encampments. Take better care of your dog or don’t have one!!!
