Gray and black short haired cat possibly male

Message from Finder

This Kitty has been wandering around for about 2 weeks and he or she is hungry and appears to have gotten hurt from another cat. He's friendly and has a very distinctive loud meow. Do you recognize this cat? Most likely a male cat. This Kitty really wants to be indoors and not wandering outside.

yes, HappyCatLady I'm not new at this. I've been feeding him and giving water. I have 4 cats of my own, and cannot take him inside. we have a breeder in the neighborhood who is very irresponsible about her cats-- could be he ran way from her. I'm looking out for him but also cannot keep taking on more new kitties. that's why I posted here, so maybe he can find his family again. I never allow any cat to starve and I do what I can.

FOSTERING FOUND KITTY - Creating a Safe Haven 😻When you rescue a cat from the street, you are often their last hope for survival. Because many cats brought to shelters never leave, fostering them in your home is the greatest gift you can give while searching for their guardian or a new forever home. 😻The Bathroom: The Perfect Starting Point Don’t worry if your bathroom is tiny; cats actually prefer small, contained spaces when they are overwhelmed by a new environment. Keeping kitty in the bathroom ensures they are safe, easy to monitor, and away from the stresses of the rest of the house. 😻Setting Up the "Bedroom" Inside the bathroom, provide a litter box, food, and water. For their bed, a covered hard carrier is the most ideal setup. 😻The Setup: Place a soft blanket inside the carrier and d another blanket over the top, leaving only the front opening clear. 😻The Strategy: By making the carrier the only "hiding spot" in the room, the cat will learn to view it as their safe zone. This makes it much easier to transport them to the vet for a microchip scan or to their new home later on—they’ll already be comfortable inside! 😻Acclimation and Trust: I always keep new rescues in the bathroom for at least a few weeks until they are fully acclimated and ready to explore. Even spending just 30 minutes a day with them makes a world of difference. It helps them feel safe, allows you to get to know their personality, and ensures they are ready for the next chapter of their life. 😻 Thank you for opening your heart and home to a cat in need. You are changing a life that someone else may have failed. ❤️.❤️

🐱💜Dear kind compassionate neighbor. I ADORE people like you who look out for the often ignored lost/stray roaming kitty. Thank you for helping to save this kitty’s life! Kitty is most likely very hungry & dehydrated. ((Cats that haven’t eaten for days and barely eaten for weeks will still ‘APPEAR’ OK - fur is very deceiving and it takes a long time for cats to look ill.)) May I kindly suggest providing water and Wet food. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.🐱💜We are often a cat’s last hope after another human failed them. 🐱 Lost cats REMAIN very near their last residence …Unfortunately many kitty guardians give up WAY TOO SOON on the search assuming kitty is never coming back or deceased (not realizing how close they remain and/or sometimes they're trapped in a garage etc) Kitty could belong to an elderly person who lives alone and doesn't use the internet or know how to find kitty (or can't physically get around well). And sadly, MANY cats are born in backyards due to guardians who aren’t fixing their own cats that they allow outside and some of the sweetest cats get abandoned….and need our help 🙏 🐱 MOST (if not all) of the neighbors that live on your block - will NOT see any of these posts on pawboost, nextdoor or facebook. So Informing your neighbors in person is KEY. The neighbors around your block and across the street are exactly who need to be informed via FLYERS and/or knocking on doors and asking. THE BEST THING TO DO is to Get kitty into your bathroom where it's safe and contained - make appt to get him fixed and consider fostering him in hyour bathroom to start .. Food bowl water bowl, litter box and blanket or ideally a covered carrier can be used as a little hideaway for kitty - or even a cardboard box turned to it’s side and partially covered and blanket/towel inside :)

Dear neighbor If kitty isn't fixed …. the biggest gift you could give is to get kitty fixed❤️ 🙏 to prevent endless kittens being born outside to suffer and struggle and to prevent him from getting into horrible territorial fights that are often lethal . Thank you for being part of the solution..so many need our help...we do our best one kitty at a time. ❤️ damia LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER: OAKLAND --> https://icraeastbay.org/resources/local-resources/spayneuter/ San Francisco —> https://www.sfspca.org/veterinary-care/spay-neuter-clinic/
