Sarah Groat this is amazing news!!! Thank you for sharing this update - I’ve been worried about him all day! I didn’t realize pawboost also went to FB so didn’t see the messages. I had knocked on many doors and posted on different pages, pawboost, and next door and then called animal control. He was a sweet boy and kept cool once we found him ♥️

Not everyone sees Facebook posts and may go to the shelter on Birdneck Road to look for the lost dog. Virginia Beach Animal Control can scan for a microchip and post on stray hold for owner to reclaim at Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center on Birdneck Road with proof of ownership.

Please file a found dog report with the Virginia Beach animal shelter. If there a dog has a collar on, and there is a rabies tag, the vet’s telephone number will be on that tag. That is the way some people have reconnected with their dogs.
