Melissa Laycoax thank you for being part of the 10% of good people that find a French Bulldog and actually look for the owners. There are so many that are never seen again and the families are just devastated. You really are the exception to the rule and I appreciate you for being a good person and putting in so much work on it.

A high % of Lost Pet cases are solved in their neighborhood!!! THAT'S WHERE THE SEARCH NEEDS TO BE! This is why the neighborhood apps work best. Post at least three times a day on both of them. Dogs: Many lost dogs are found within 1–2 miles of where they went missing, especially if they escaped from home. Depending on the dog's personality and circumstances, some stay within a few blocks while others travel much farther. Cats: Indoor cats that get outside are often found very close to home—frequently within a few houses to about 500 feet (150 m). Outdoor cats and more adventurous cats may roam farther, (usually within a block) but many are discovered hiding nearby. THIS WHY OWNERS SHOULD BE ON BOTH NEXT DOOR AS WELL AS THE NEIGHBORS BY RING APP POSTING THREE TIMES A DAY. AND PUTTING UP VERY SIMPLE FLYERS SO PEOPLE CAN READ THEM FROM 20 FT AWAY (a flyer doesn't work if nobody can read it): REWARD AMOUNT PHONE NUMBER ONE BIG CLEAR PICTURE OF THE PET. Don't even put lost dog on there. The reward is your attention grabbing headline. Get at least 40 Flyers up at the major intersections north south east and west of you. All four sides of the intersection. And at the exit points from your subdivision and the one across the street from you. Should take about an hour. Do more if you can but it's hot. The next day put another 40 up expanding your range by a mile.

Packing tape works great for hanging them up. ▪️ Place 4–8 flyers at the major intersections closest to where the pet was found. ▪️ Put a box in your front yard and write FOUND DOG or FOUND CAT in big letters so if the owners are driving the neighborhood, hopefully they will see it.🥰 ▪️ Your flyers don't have to be fancy. Just write: FOUND DOG/CAT BREED SIZE COLOR YOUR PHONE NUMBER THAT'S IT! ▪️ Take the pet to any veterinary clinic and have them scanned for a microchip. Have you put this dog on Petco love lost to see if any matches come up? It has a facial recognition capability. This dog could belong to someone in that neighborhood but it could also have been stolen and brought to this neighborhood. If the original owners put it on Petco it might come up. Make sure you take a clear photo from the front so the algorithms can pick up on the eyes for the best match capability.
