Thank you for caring and posting! Please check if the pet is microchiped if you can. Also please put up flyers as far out possible as not all owners are on social media and visibility is key. Alert the local shelter(s) that you have the pet and post a flyer there too as that is where most owners start their search. Post on Nextdoor and with local rescues too. Thanks again for caring - good luck! Ps: If you can't keep the pet safe while looking for the owner and holding for the legally required time period, the best option is to take it to the closest shelter to where found. You can still put up flyers to hopefully alert the owner. Please never give to a stranger or anyone out of the area where found.
