Jeannie Wheeler-Honsinger It's been 8 years since I lost my lovely wife sharon, If that wasn't hard enough the guilt I feel not able to help her win her battle. Even more and broke me is her son my handsome child 4 months later joined his mother in heaven. It's been hard for me, especially at night times I can't just imagine how it is at night, we have been married for 31Years she of breast cancer after our 31st anniversary. My life is different since she left. I cried a lot all the time. I don't want to get up on the bed all I want is to think of those memories we had it's not easy, sometimes I feel like shouting out loud and asking God why? Hope you don't mind adding me as a friend, I believe we all are here to share each other up....

If chipped contact your microchip company and make sure your information is updated and file a lost cat report there Some people suggest leaving a door open alittle bit may come home on there own Put something with scent there also Bedding your unwashed clothing Litter box a nything that has your cats scent Cats are night creatures May try to come home early morning while dark and try to get back inside This works well Go outside and sit down on the ground so she can see your face not feet and calmly call name If likes treats shake bag and listen for meowing could be stuck in a garage or shed or under porches Check out the neighbors and let them know that your kitty is missing Check out the shelters in person and take a flyer or photo there also If all else fails put out a HUMANE trap then with wet food or tuna and cover with a towel to keep calm and warm if caught and check it out every 2hours and don't leave overnight unattended You can face the entrance of the trap towards a window or door to keep a better eye on it Prayers sent 🙏

Make sure you have a good size cat bin outside by the house and put his blanket inside. Also he will be hungry, and cats can smell cooked food, chicken bits and a little dash of cat nip. Also open a back or side door a few inches and put the same thing inside the door. Beautiful cat .. keep watch. If you see your cat call out, Hi . name... momma has food for you... this always works for me with strays.

Here are a few things you can try. Cats usually don’t go far. They just hide well. Cats are very active at dusk and dawn. So first of all you can go out and call for him. You can put his food/water, and lots of cat nip outside your house to help draw him back. Also, put your cat's bedding that has your cat's scent on it outside to attract your cat back to your home. Also putting your own unwashed clothes or bedding out . Cats run on scent and this is highly effective in luring your cat back home .PetMD backs this up, can help lure the cat back home, as it's a comfortable and familiar smell. Shake the treat/food container outside. Check garages, especially under porches and decks, dense bushes, etc. Get one of those strong flashlights they will catch a cat's reflective eyes two blocks away and save you tons of time!!! Do not leave the food out overnight as it will attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood and talk to people as you can. Take a flyer TO your local vets office and shelter a face is better than a thousand words of description and check every couple of days in person if possible Sometimes it can take weeks or months to find your kitty. Also post with Pawboost and Sam the Parrot about your missing cat. Many times cats are found within a couple hundred feet of their homes. Post fliers around your neighborhood with your phone number that people can call day or night. And talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals. If they see a strange kitty around, they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc Best time to look is between 1-6AM Get a humane trap ASAP! This it's the best chance at retrieving your cat. Line it with newspaper. The ONLY food you leave out should be in that trap. Do not leave the trap set for long periods of time unattended, especially overnight. The most importantly do not give up hope! Open your garage door a little. Don’t put the litter box out. 🙏🏻Also take a flashlight out at night and look in and under things to see if you can see the kitty’s eyes.
