We are stressed out she hasn’t came home in 2 days she normally goes out and come back same day it’s been 2 days and we are unsure if she got taken by a coyote, or fox or someone simply picked her up I’ve been searching every field nearby for clues or signs…. Nothing at all:( My wife and I are extremely upset we need our baby home

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence .Also put Cat Nip in a stocking close to your enterences . Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. scare neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Shared. If you have not yet done so, ASAP notify Whitechurch-Stouffville Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Note that TWO days is a long time to a cat so you have no time to waste. If you have not done ALL these things do them now, if you have go further in your search. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Note that intact males can travel long distances in search of females in heat and have trouble finding their way home. Advise local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5-10 block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.
