Message from Owner

Zinn is a beloved family member. He was swept away by a strong current. The coast gaurd and fire boat searched for him for several hours. They suggest he had the potential to turn up on the beaches in the Marin Headlands or on the San Francisco side at Bakers beach or Ocean beach. It is very unlikely, but we are hoping for a miracle. Please let us know if anyone found a very tired dog washed up on any of the beaches around the Bay Area. He is very strong and persistent he ran 2 miles a day up steep hills along side a bicycle always needing to be ahead of other dogs. If any small dog could survive it would be him.

- Creating a dog scent station from a rescue who helps reunite pets. Take an unwashed article of THE OWNERS clothing.( Socks , Sheet, Underware & Hang it in a tree ,on a fence , a pole or edge of roof & put an article of unwashed clothes on ground below. The wind will carry the scent. If there is another dog in the home take that dog's fresh poop and rub it on a rag & hang it high . Open your gates. Your garage door , turn on all your lights. Put a rug or towel on porch with a bowl of water. Do not put the dog's bed or the dog's toys outside. The only scent we want is from the owners. Please do this ASAP. Rain or Shine.A dog can find its way back from miles by following a scent. They don't operate like humans on sight or sound. Also saturate the area with bright flyers.& file a lost report with your local shelters and check those in person in case your dog is there.
