Sadly someone probably dumped him. He’s older and needs vet attention. They can’t or won’t pay the bills. This happens too much. Find a rescue group to take him on and if you can get him groomed and that ear treated. The way people treat their animals around here truly . Local government needs to start requiring dogs and cats to be registered with the city/county and chipped. Big fines levied ($2509 and up) if they are found like this poor guy. Up to and including jail time. They do it out West and we don’t have this sort of thing happening. Breaks my heart.

Call him Cooper & see if he responds to the name. It looks like the little dog that was abandoned months ago in Johnston.It’s had to fend for itself, haven’t seen it lately, someone could have picked him up and dumped him somewhere else.

I am who has this little guy. We are going to check for a chip at one of the dog parks. He has a pretty severe ear issue and his eyes are almost caked/matted shut. We will also give him a good bath to make him more comfortable. His nails are long but for his breed he looks like his hair was recently trimmed and he is not overly matted. VERY sweet and sits on command. He is someone’s baby!

Please keep us updated for sure. If you take to shelter please post as well. I would be willing to foster if needed. There aren’t too many Scottie’s in Aiken area. Please ask for proper identification if someone claims

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance I have owned Scottie’s for 40 yrs and currently have two. Hopefully he is microchipped and his owners are looking for him. I know how I would feel if I lost my dogs well Ang if my dogs.
