Cindy Cutler-Hammer it takes a while . Slow introduction if you cant help him or worry about risk find a rescue that had foster homes. Maybe he just needs a foster parent with no cats. It can take months sometime just a few weeks. We kept fetal stray in a catio playpen xlarge big enough litter pan food dishes toys cat bed and a cat cave to hide in. And left covered 75% we let our other cats go in and sniff him for days then we let him out in room with door shut alone. He stayed under bed all day but I noticed he came out to eat when I wasn't in there. It takes time and patience. Also maybe some gabapentin or medicine for anxiety for cat (liquid ). Or yourself?? If he is causing you anxiety!!! . Some of the feras I have had are so scared and hiss and " yowl" but after awhile they wink at me and slowly let me pet them .

Sal M Paskell well, I think she's been so traumatized that she wants my attention and cries and rubs against me but then turns on me and bats and hisses at me. I have an inside cat and she is in my garage, and I don't know if they will ever be able to get along.

Cindy Cutler-Hammer I don't believe its ever easy. Cost cares love feeding them finding homes. I've done rescue for only 7 years. My partner in our cats rescue has done it for 50 years.
