Please follow a missing cat report with the Virginia Beach animal control. If this cat is chipped, please make sure the registry has your current contact information. Visit the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM, go out in the yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight, walk around your yard, shaking the kitty treats bag, and calling your cat’s name. Use the flashlight to see if your cat is hiding in the bushes most indoor cats would only stray 5 to 7 homes from their own. Print fires with your cats picture and your contact information and take them around to your neighbors asking them to call you if they see your cat, ask them also if they’ve been in their shed out building a garage since the cat went missing. Cats will go on those places to hide and when the door gets closed, they cannot get out, and you cannot hear a cat crying to get out unless you’re standing right next to the structure. Look under porches, decks, and any home with an open crawlspace.
