It would be good to put a worn piece of clothing on your porch to help attract your kitten if it's close by. Also, it would be good to post a neighbor's ring app which covers a 3-mile radius of your home and alerts people that have the app. In addition, it would be good to go out, especially at Dawn dusk and feeding time shaking a bag of cat treats or cat food. Vigorously to help attract your cat's attention if it's nearby and also bring a flashlight to help catch a glimpse of your cats eyes. If it's near in a one to two block radius. Make sure you check window wells and all surroundings very well including trees. Shrubbery under decks and porches and ask your neighbors to check their shed or garage where cats are often found. Also make sure your kitten is not hiding in the house. Recently in a 2-week. Five people thought their cats were missing and they were all later found in the house, including one in the cabinet 3 days later. That was hardly used. When my daughter adopted a kitten 18 years ago, we thought somehow it got lost and we'd look for it until dusk for over an hour and finally gave up. We all came back inside and my granddaughter opened her dresser drawer to get a scarf and saw the kitten all curled up in her scarves. The kitten had crawled behind the dresser and got in the dryer and it was very comfy. Laying in all the scarves. Many times cats are found inside. Make sure you check behind furniture under furniture in closets and dresser. Drawers. Kittens should be watched very closely and there should be no chance of them getting out. They should be supervised very closely. I hope if your kitten returns that it won't get out again and I hope it is safe. Hope to hear good news soon. Good luck!

Flyers are very important. They are best put in a zip gallon bag that is upside down to protect from the elements. It was just recently that both the dog and a cat were reunited by flyers alone since the people that found the animals did not have social media. If you adopted from a rescue, they usually like to know ASAP that a former animal is missing. If your cat has a microchip, it's good to make sure your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted if your cat is found. Cats tend to stay close to home before they wander so time is of the essence. Make sure your cat is not hiding in the garage in a closet in a dresser, drawer or behind furniture which often happens. I've heard of a few cats returning home the past few years when the owner left their garage open about 5 inches with a worn piece of clothing on the inside of the garage near the opening to help attract the cat if it comes close back to home but not too wide. So you do not attract unwanted animals. It's good if you go check outside on your block around Dawn and dusk with a flashlight looking in shrubbery and under decks and porches to hopefully catch a glimpse of your cat's eyes if it is close by. Usually cats are scared when they first leave home and might not even respond to you. So the flashlight might come in handy to catch a glimpse of the eyes. It's also good to check your local animal control in person daily because things change very often and best in person. It's also good to check local rescues and shelters in your area daily. Hoping for a quick and safe return.....
