I've read it's best to put recently worn clothing, socks are best, at the front & back doors, not litter boxes. Cats instinctually avoid areas they potty in because that's how predators tract them. Also go to the local shelters daily, in person. Also put a sign w/picture & LOST info in your front yard. Don't give up hope! Praying n sharing 🙏
