MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Please let us know if you've seen Cotton anywhere. She's an indoor cat and incredibly shy and she's never been outside. She will likely run away if approached, so please be very cautious. We've been searching every day and night for her but still haven't found her. It's just so depressing to search for her and not even know if she's safe. Please let us know if you see or hear anything; we're worried sick.

DESCRIPTION

Have you been putting food and water outside to keep her in the area and if so, has it been eaten? You may want to contact Vokra to borrow a humane trap. Check your yard and your neighbors yards/patios/bushes/garage/sheds thoroughly.

Hey everyone. There are so many lost cats lately I am unable to keep up with the lost cat advice Please help us. Post the below advice when u see a post for a lost cat Copy and paste it in your messenger so it’s allways handy ::::::::::: These tips are for indoor. And indoor /outdoor kitty’s Many indoor cats return when its quiet and dark usually 10pm-6:30am so if possible leave your door/window open slightly for him to return. BUT MAKE Sure the cat is not hiding in your house first. This method works well for these indoor cats that escape. Put out some worn clothing with your scent and keep calling for him frequently as he will hear your voice. It may take a few days or so for him to get the confidence to return but main thing is that he needs a way inside when its quiet...secure any other pets in a room so they can't escape. If you have a garage you can open the door 3-4inches high so he can go in. Put water outside. Check your yard and your neighbors yards/patios/garage/sheds/bushes thoroughly. Leave your door open as most cats come back n the night Check all garages and sheds in your neighbourhood. Here’s some tips https://www.vokra.ca/lost-cat When searching for your indoor cat do what heather did. Put up with photo and your address on social media and. Nextdoor app If the cat is indoors only search in the direction the cat ran. In heathers case the cat ran to the back of the yard by the fence there was a space that led against the fence to the neighbours yard to the south. We followed that fence searching with a flashlight to the front of that house to the south. They front yard had a cement wall surrounding the property up about three feet and then lattice fence on top and thick bushes Heather had already looked earlier that day under those bushes but she didn’t use a flashlight and look up the back cement wall and lattice fence above it. When I searched I saw the black cat in the corner right angel of the cement wall where the lattice was. With his blue leash hanging down. I walked around to the other side of that fence corner and blocked any ways for the cat to get out by stuffing a bedsheet in there Then went around to the bushes and crawled very very slowly under the bush to where he was. With a towel and net. I had a leather glove on and talked gently to him and slowly slowly put my right hand and scruffier his neck and held on tight while my left hand scoured the rear of his body So that I had two hands on him and slowly pulled him towards my body. Still scruffiness his neck with my right hand not letting go, I used my left hand to wrap the towel around him tightly. And move slowly from under the bushes. I had a net ready and pushed how whole body into the net and tied it tight and was able to get him home. He is traumatized from incident where they took him outside for the very first time on a collar and leash. so I recommend he stay in their bedroom for 24 hours as he will be an escape risk for the next week.
