Large white dog, looks like a Great Pyrenees or a Maremma Sheepdog.

As I post this, 5/6/2026 at 10:25 am, this dog is sleeping in front of the school in the shade. Though, it roams this area --I've seen him/her here often. As its getting hotter and hotter I worry about such a thick coated pup being outside all the time and without easy, regular access to a water!

Are YOU in a possition to do that? If someone is missing their dog, they will hopefully see this. In a perfect world I would love to take care of strays. Unfortunately in this area it would be a full time job. And I have a job. I also have pets of my own. The school has kids too teach and look after as their job. I've asked myself why animal control doesn't just hang out in this neighborhood and scoop up dogs; but they would most likely be euthanized wth the amount find here. Most are very likely not chipped if they're residents to the area, since gates aren't very secure. Others have likely been stolen by honeless then got/let loose, dumped, or here.

Cross check Pawboost alert local shelters is it Microchipped Call Animal control or take it to them if possible rather than fending for itself on the streets are u able to secure it or take it home with u
