MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Cassie is a 6 year old cockapoo who escaped her backyard today (03/15/24). She was last seen running by the 4H fields on Francis Rd in New Lenox. Family lost sight of her and are not sure which way she went after that. She was recently shaved, so she is not as fluffy as this photo. She is scared and will run from people unless cornered. If you see her, please let me know or contact animal control so we can get her back. Any information is appreciated!

DESCRIPTION

Shaved and skinny. Runs like rabbit. Will run way if approached. Call animal control if seen

Flyers are very important. They are best put in an upside down zip gallon bag to protect from the elements. It was just 2 weeks ago that both the dog and cat were reunited and two separate instances by flyers alone because the finders did not have social media and only saw a flyer. If you adopted from a rescue, they usually like to know ASAP that a former animal is missing. If your dog has a microchip, It is good to make sure that your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted if your dog is located. Alert to animal control and go there in person and also show them a picture on a daily basis to make sure your dog is not there. It's also good to check local rescues and shelters in your area on a daily basis because things change very often. It is also good to post on ring neighbor's app and alerts people with this app in a several mile radius of your home and you could ask them to please check their cameras if they seen your dog so you know which direction your dog was headed. Wishing a quick and safe return. Good luck!!
