I think its a male pretty rat according to Google Lens. It's mainly white with eyes and some brown spots on it. I'm caring for it like if it was my own pet. I've never had an animal like this before; just dogs, cats, turtles, fish, and birds. But I hope to get this little guy reunited with it's owner soon.

Shared. It does look like a pet rat. They say they make good pets and are smart. Rodents are escape artists. We had hamsters that used to escape and hide years ago.

👋🏻 rat rescue here in fort pierce - reach out to me if you need assistance. Sadly a lot of ppl buy them for snake food then release them outside where they have very little chance of surviving more than a few days.

If you end up keeping it, please remember they need a lot of space (not a fish tank, ferret nations work great) and friends. Oxbow is one of the better foods and they need constant access and they need fresh fruits and veggies every day.

They make great pets but they are little escape artists. Ours was in a tank with a metal screen cover and he pushed the screen up and escaped a few times. Thankfully he always went to my daughter when she was in the room.
