Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence . You can also add some catnip in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. scare neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Shared. If you have not yet done so, ASAP notify Mississauga Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Note that TWO days is a long time to a cat so you have no time to waste. If you have not done ALL these things do them now, if you have go further in your search Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Intact male cats can travel a long way to find females in heat and have trouble finding their way back home. Advise local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. In case he's hiding nearby or manages to find his way back, leave his used littler and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left NOW and check late tonight, if you don't see him or evidence he's been there, repeat and check in the morning. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5-10 block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make an loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as (Click on the link www.catsinthebag.org itself.) Get signs up (not everyone uses fb, and the more eyes looking the better) and file a lost report with Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too. And here is some helpful info: https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ Post on Neighbourhood/community groups, and be sure to also do a post on the fb group ‘Toronto Lost and Found Cats’

Put out your worn clothing and his bed / blanket - if he is disoriented, the scent will help him find his way home. Go out in the early hours of the morning and shake the treat bag and call his name quietly. Take a flashlight as his eyes will shine. Crack the garage door and/or house window so he can make his way inside if he comes home. Make posters and flyers and get them up and out asap! Call all the vets and shelters in your area. Also post on the Nextdoor app. Hopefully he is microchipped and someone takes him in to be scanned. When he comes home, keep him inside as there are endless dangers out there for roaming cats! It is our responsibility to keep our pets safe. Good luck, I hope you find him! 😿

Phone Mississauga Animal Services to report him missing in case he’s found and turned in. Put up posters all over the neighbourhood. Go out and walk the area at night while calling for him and shaking a bag of treats. They can hear you better at night and usually aren’t too far from home. Good luck!
