Sit outside at night when its quite and put some tuna. If he's nearby he will come. Got this from a cat expert.

Yes, have acquired many cats over the years whose owners moved away & left them, or have suspected that was the case. I believe in indoor cats and have 2. His bullying of them had been a problem. I had him segregated in my 2nd floor bedroom much of the time at first but can do that for only 3 seasons of the year, I have no working AC,can't afford to fix it & it's too hot in that room in summer to keep a cat shut up in it. All cats are shut out of it in summer at night so I can open the window wide & get some sleep. So last June I tried to integrate him with the 2 indoor cats downstairs where it's darker & cooler. It did not go well. He mauled me badly with biting & raking his claws on my arm when I tried to prevent him from attacking my other cat, still have scars but I love him anyway. The indoor cats are old ladies & he is a young rowdy who would leap into their faces then corner them in their hiding places scaring them out of their wits! I'd tried all kinds of things, calming collars & sprays, CBD oil, even a baby's playpen with a cover which I'd bet he could scratch his way out of. My budget needed a break for awhile. I was told that it was proper to put him outdoors as he came from the outdoors as he could be considered a TNR cat. But I watched him mature some over the past year, he became very cuddly with me outdoors, he would put his head inside my jacket & sit quietly on my lap for 10 minutes at a time purring; before, he would land on me briefly then bounce away. So I will try again to make him an indoor boy. I know he likes it in the house as much as the outdoors. I did bring him in during the severe December cold snap & kept him in the room with me for a week. Such purring! A few near incidents, the other cat got in & he got out once but disaster was averted. His litter box usage was excellent as balways in fact more neat than the indoor cats

Jane Langston d I wn the line if he finds his way back.or another kitty let them bre indoor as long as you are living where you are now. I lived at Birchrun for 6 years. Most of the kitties were owned by people who moved away and didn't take their cat with them. I did get a lot of them fixed at Lifeline. My neighbor Leeann and I fed them. When you posted his picture did you place them at Birchrun an the restaurant. Hiaro has been in my prayers for a safe return, as have you.

Susie Dixon He does have a HomeAgain Microchip. I distributed flyers to several area vets asking them to look out for him & to scan him. The chip is registered. Of course if someone has taken him in we are dependent on them to have enough ethics to have him scanned which may not happen. I took him to the vet 2 days after he came to me to have him scanned, he had no chip then so I had one put in by LifeLine when I neutered him on 4/25/22. And heaven forbid if he died in the street somewhere I don't know if Dekalb Co. or county sanitation routinely scans roadkill that they pick up. Someone did take a video of a black/white cat under a vehicle & sent it to me yesterday but it is not my cat. If I ever end up with an outdoor cat again I will install GPS tracking as too many who take in cats cannot be trusted to do the right thing. Chiaro's chip# is on the HomeAgain poster. And he may have been putting on the lovey routine looking for a new home as that is how he ended up with me!
