Missing Cat burgoyne square/shorncliffe Heights area Leo/ neutered male / 3 years of age / microchipped Leo was last seen Tuesday 4pm it's not like him to be gone this long, I am very concerned , if anyone has seen him please message me!! I am very worried

Cats do not venture far. Did you know that most cats are found within 1500 feet of home? They do go into survival mode right away and hunker down and get quiet, possibly not even answering your calls. They are usually right by the house, but a lot of folks think cats are like dogs and are out walking around, but they are NOT. BUT GET OUT THERE AND YELL and then get quiet and wait and wait longer than you think you need to, cats are on their own timeline. Make a grid and walk it over and over. Checking under decks, porches, outbuildings, under cars. Think like a cat that wants to hide. A lot of times, they are just under the front porch and will NOT answer you. They are in survival mode. THEN LOOK UP. He may have gone up a tree and can't get down. Go out right after dark with a flashlight and look in all the places you already looked. His eyes will reflect the light. He is out there waiting for you to find him. You'll find him. Keep looking. One neighbor found his under their front porch and thought it was a rock, It was his cat balled up in the back corner. He was able to catch a reflection of eyes with a flashlight. My sister's cat in Florida ran off and she looked for weeks and weeks and had posters up everywhere. After a month and a half, she gave up hope and rescued another cat. THEN someone in the next building over (condos) called her and said he was in the hedgerow over there and he was! So now she had TWO cats. Never give up. oh and check inside! Cats seem to get delight in hiding and then w8atching quietly as we lose our minds calling for them. He could be in a closet that got closed or a cupboard or even a drawer.

Put posters up in your area with pics asking people to check sheds and garages maybe shut in the flyers through doors will help you to, go out late at night shake food box and call, listen for cries, may be caught up or trapped

Hang items of your unwashed clothing outside your home so he can pick up your scent Repeat every 2days.Call late at night and early mornings shaking the treats.Go out in your garden between 2am and 4am call listen and wait.Put posters up especially on your outdoor bin and in car window.Leaflet drop in your area and physically ask and go with neighbours to check their sheds and garages.Phone local vets.Good luck
