And have your neighbors check their outside structures sheds, garages, the door may have been opened and then close with the cat inside. And make sure to look up in the trees.

PLEASE - in addition to this post it is VERY IMPORTANT to deliver flyers door-to-door around your neighborhood starting with a radius of five homes in all directions. Include vets offices, easily seen public places like utility poles, parks, playgrounds and any nearby businesses that will let you put one up. Mention if he is chipped. OFFER A REWARD! Many people are not on social media and will not see online posts. They NEED a flyer so they know to watch for him and call if seen! Do an online search "best ways to find a lost housecat" for expert tips. Follow the important suggestions to increase your chances of finding him! Most inside cats will not wander far, but are frightened and in hiding waiting to be found. Look for him at night with a flashlight, and ask your neighbors if you can search on their property. Put some of your unwashed laundry and your bedsheet outside along with his bedding. He may catch the scents and be able to find his way back. Do not put his litter pan out, as it may attract unwanted strays. Leave a window or garage door slightly opened, so he can slip in. Go in person to Animal Control or the Humane Society to see if someone turned him in. If you don't find him in a few days, expand your search area to 1/4 of a mile from your home. Praying.
