This is Indy Pets: lost & found Please try these tips: Set litter box (please stir the litter box with a stick to get the scent into the air more) and a dirty item/blankets, cat bed, with your homes scent outside your door, along with food/ water covered from weather: Cats can pick up these scents 1-2 miles from home. Also look under all nearby bushes sheds decks cars. Indoor cats don’t typically roam too far from their homes!πŸ™πŸ’•πŸ± Be sure to post as lost on IndyLostPetAlert.com, and or the Next Door app & Neighbors RING app & shelters in your area. Post flyers if no return within 24 hours . 24petconnect.com Be sure to check with shelters in your area as well. Prayers for a safe return home πŸΎπŸ’•πŸ±

Cat search suggestions https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QrEjkK8O2SwuVmPKZ0TE6aw85sRAxyKVtUn3608NT2s/mobilebasic?mibextid=Zxz2cZ Make sure to check under decks, sheds, porches, bushes, wood piles, etc. Use a flashlight to search during dusk and later when it is quieter. Her/his eyes will glow. If you can, sit out near where s/he escaped and have conversation in a normal tone, s/he may approach. It is important for her/him to hear your calm voice rather than the stress in your voice when you try to call loudly to her/him. Post signs in the immediate area- house cats do not normally go very far, 5-6 houses maybe. Put an item of your dirty laundry outside near where s/he escaped. Notify the shelters, post on local lost/found pages and Nextdoor. Know that cats often show up, even after a few weeks, as if nothing happened. So, keep looking and don’t give up! Good luck!
