Is this another scam? My granddaughter received this text and is in tears! Shes so afraid for Roxy’s well being. Roxy escaped during an evening when there were several house guests going in and out and the family thought Roxy was safely fenced in, yet somehow she got out. I need to take down this post and repost with my contact information.

Get flyers up soon and attach them to neon poster board like the ones below👇👇or use corrugated plastic signs(like the yard signs, sturdier). Put the flyers in plastic sleeves with the opening to the bottom so rain doesn't get in. Be AWARE of SCAMS. People may contact you claiming to have your dog and asked for money or to send a code. Also the ones that say TEXT this number or has an INSTAGRAM link. ALL are scams. There's new scams out daily targeting owners of lost pets. These are some good sites to post on, more helpful tips, make flyers, etc. www.petfbi.org, www.petcolovelost.org and on www.lostmydoggie.com. The petcolovelost link should report lost to the Jacksonville Humane Society and Animal Care and Protective Services(double check). I'd also email both places to report lost, petsafetynet@jaxhumane.org and Jaxpets@coj.net. Still check both places in person, very important.

Post on the nextdoor app, it's neighborhood specific and on neighbors by ring app. Also post on Lost Pets of Jacksonville, FL. Definitely go in person and check at Animal Care and Protective Services on Forest St and the Jacksonville Humane Society on Beach Blvd in case someone brought her in. Don't just call go look for yourself as dogs do get overlooked. Check often, they only hold for 6 days and then can be adopted. Important to report her lost to both places and check their websites. The shelter links can be found at the top of the Facebook Page I mentioned above under featured. Knock on doors nearby. Leave something out with your scent on it, if it's raining leave in a dry area for now. Change out scent items every couple days and hang some on tree branches, ect but lower to the ground. Dogs can catch a familiar scent from a good distance. This has brought many dogs home. I hope she's found soon. **When checking comments make sure it shows "all comments" towards the top. Otherwise you may miss some.
