Shared. Note that two days is a long time to a cat this is MUCH longer and someone might have him. If you have not yet done all these things do so ASAP, if you have do them again and go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website(s) for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property in the remote possibility he managed to get back in. Check small, hidden spots like nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door (in this case window) they left for a day or two before searching for food. Add his used litter to the food and water you left out now and check later tonight and in the morning. Advise local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out now and bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as (Click on the link www.catsinthebag.org itself.) Get signs up (not everyone uses fb, and the more eyes looking the better) and file a lost report with Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too.
