Pliers are very important. They are best put in an upside down zip gallon bag to help protect from the elements. It was just recently that both the dog and cat were reunited by Flyers alone since the finders did not have social media and only saw a flyer. If you adopted from a rescue, they usually like to know ASAP that a former animal is missing. If your dog has a microchip, it's good to make sure your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted. If your dog is found. It's good to personally check animal control on a daily basis and also any local rescues or shelters in your area. Make sure you show them a picture of your dog. You can also try putting a worn piece of clothing on your porch to help attract the dog if it is close to home or even open your garage about 5 or 6 in to and put a worn piece of clothing on the inside of the garage near the opening to help attract the dog. If it comes close back to home. Have neighbors check their Ring cameras. You can also post your dog list on Ring Neighbor's app which covers several miles circumference around your house which I believe is about 5 mi. Good luck on safe return. Hope to hear good news soon.
