A few years back someone had their dog run off from Cowan Lake campground and they ended up finding him in a cornfield nearby. He just couldn't find his way out. He was terribly skinny when they found him but alive.

Hang some of your unwashed clothes out so the dog can pick up your scent. If you haven’t already, call police depts. in your area, county and local shelters, vets, with a description of your dog. Some PDs are very helpful about taking info on lost/found pets. Make up large, easily read flyers and post them in your neighborhood. Post a lost ad on nextdoor.com. Visit the local shelters or humane society every couple of days IN PERSON, don't just call. They have so many dogs that it’s easy to overlook one. Good luck!
